The CoSiRoc (French committee for rock climbing sites) and Climbing Attitude (of Patrick Edlinger) organize a clean-up day at Bas Cuvier, on May 18 (between 10:30 and 18:00). Climbers and walkers are welcome that day to take away some garbage from that famous climbing area. (8 responses)
Le Rocher des Demoiselles has been explored for a long time but never overcrowded. It is likely that much more climbers will visit this sector since Jean-Jacques Naëls has rebrushed classical boulders, due in particular to Michel Grillère, and has added new problems. Indeed, almost 100 problems between 3c to 7c are listed in the new topo du Rocher des Demoiselles. Notice that this sector, exposed to the North, is ideal in Spring or in Summer. It is recommended to park your car along the N152 and to follow La Route de Valmy. (1 response)
The sector of Le Rocher des Princes has been constituted for a long time of one isolated boulder (that of Monaco). Romain Monnier, helped by several friends, has filled this deficiency by brushing 50 problems between 3b and 7a+. Those can be found in the topo du Rocher des Princes, and you can now pay a visit to this area, very quiet during the day if one refers to Romain's text! (0 responses)
As you might have seen in our photos & videos section, we have started to published videos in the new MPEG-4 H.264 format, using the latest Flash Player plugin. Not all pages reference the new format yet (currently only our media archive and media RSS feed), so there is still some work to be done. To help you with the new format, we created a new FAQ (frequently asked questions) about viewing and submitting videos. (7 responses)
Today we celebrate the exact 9th anniversary of this website, and as one can see in the column at the right, we just published the realvideo of the 1.000th boulder! It is also the last realvideo we publish... because we are switching our video format :-). Starting next week, we will offer new videos in a larger size (480 x 360 pixels), and with the best open video standard currently available. So, stay tuned!Welcome to bleau.info, the one stop website about bouldering in Fontainebleau. A short name, which stands for an abundance of climbing beta. With ten thousands of pages, this is the ultimate reference site for Bleausards and Wannabees.
